I started After a Good Date, in Feb-2022. My first post, Workplace Donation, was a repost of what I had first written on Literotica. Later, I posted it, in text form, on r/MumbaiGW (a subreddit that has been deleted since then). An anonymous Redditor, texted me a few days later, telling me that she loved the story, and touched herself while reading it.
I was skeptical, as everyone on Reddit should be when someone texts you and claims to be a woman. I am not much into texting with men who play a woman, roleplaying isn’t my strongest suit, especially when the person on the other side is a man.
So, we texted back and forth, and eventually, I convinced her to get on a Discord call with me. She was indeed a girl, a 25-year-old, who was away in France studying (that’s what she said). And she was from Pune. So, you can imagine that I was excited.
We texted back and forth, and then around 1 AM IST, we got on a call. We talked for three hours. That’s the longest I have talked with someone over the phone. She had a natural sultry voice, sprinkled with Hindi here and there. I loved how she will get her voice down to a whisper when she would be saying something sweet or flirty. I don’t remember what name we used for each other.
What we talked about for so long was the fact that she was a virgin, and she wanted me to be her first. It was crazy, and I knew I would never do that. Never be the first of a girl whom you don’t know or have no natural way of keeping in touch with after the first time, my two cents of advice. But, it was exciting to talk about it. The way she talked about sex, the way she hurried through the sex talks we were having, I knew she was a virgin, even before she said it.
She asked me if I had written anything else. I said, yes. I lied. I hadn’t written anything good enough to be shown. Which is why, I started After a Good Date. She sent me a couple of pictures, sitting, her brown smooth skin, bare and shining. I came to her that night.
We texted a little after that night, always saying that we would get on a call, but never really getting on a call. But, what I started after that conversation, lives on.
The Wild Indica
I got my first subscriber 2 days after I published Workplace Donation. And then another one shortly. I continued writing. I wrote about Sushri in A School Lust Done Right. This was a two-part story, my first ever episodic sex story. I had decided to keep the stories episodic because I didn’t want my readers to get bored while reading them. I wanted them to reach the end of the story. I decided that if YouTube recommends 20 minutes as the optimum length of a video, I would keep the reading time of my post to 20 minutes or less.
After publishing A School Lust Done Right, I had 4 subscribers. I was happy about it, because I knew that 4 people had signed up to receive my posts, whenever I published. I am not naive, I know people don’t check their inboxes as often as they did when Email was first invented. I have 3900 unread emails. But, it was still a tangible number.
The average number of visitors was around, 50 or so. It was a humble number, and some of these 50 visitors were simply web crawlers, who were indexing my page. And then, on 25th February, I had an idea, which changed the course of After a Good Date — The Wild Indica.
I loved browsing gonewild subreddits, especially the Indian ones. I would see these female Redditors, who posted pictures of themselves, oozing of sexual energy, raw and beautiful. They weren’t models, they weren’t selling anything, at least not directly through their profile. They did it because they loved showing off their body, they loved having sex, and they loved filming themselves getting fucked by men. And then, there were couples, who liked to film themselves while having sex, and husbands who were so proud of their wives’ bodies that they wanted to share them with the world.
I wanted their story. I wanted to know what were they thinking when they made their first Reddit post when they stood in front of a mirror, held a piece of paper with their Reddit handle written on it, and posted it so that everybody will know that they were real. And I wanted to write about them.
I had my list of favorite Redditors then. I DM-ed them. Most never responded, a few cited that they didn’t want to be interviewed and others said they will schedule an interview but never did.
My first ever Wild Indica interview was with this couple, u/BustEKx. You can still see them, posting regularly. The rise in traffic was alright. My subscribers went up, my view counts went up.
But then, I met u/arora_chef.The interview brought in dozens of subscribers. The day I published arora_chef’s interview, remains even after all this time, the day with the highest number of visitors.
If you are wondering where all these interviews, well, The Wild Indica, will soon have a new home, with new interviews. I will announce it this week, in my Concupiscence issue.
Right around the same time, I was working on One Trip Stand. It was a story that I worked hard on, a story in which I tried to deliberate and be descriptive. It is the story in which I found my voice as a writer.
Around the same time, I got a message from u/FeistyDetective, the founder mod of r/downblouseindia, if I would like to pitch to creators about my Wild Indica interviews to creators. He verified me, and it’s the only subreddit where I am a Verified Erotica Writer.
And the journey since then has been really rewarding.
A Rewarding Journey
I’d be lying if I say that there have been no days in which I didn’t feel like typing a single ‘fuck’. I would spend those days, obsessing over the formatting of the posts, sometimes about the font, sometimes over the background color that I should be using. There have been many iterative changes since I started After a Good Date, some good and some bad.
On the hard days, what have kept me going are the love and comments I get from my readers. Recently, I have doubled down on my AI-generated art. It has found some appreciation, and I hope to continue producing erotic and tasteful art in future.
